I get a ton of requests to do product reviews on the blog….at least a few each week. And yet I only do 3-4 each year. This is because I’m only interested in reviewing products that are extremely relevant and potentially really helpful to parents of fussy babies. This means that when I agree to […]

Seeing Cinderella’s Castle in the distance from the start of Main Street, USA is just as magical a view from a stroller as it is from an infant carrier or your own two (little) feet. But there’s a lot riding on a visit to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. And, if you’ve got a […]
Shopping for a Baby Beach Tent or Travel Beach Umbrella? Shade is absolutely the most essential piece of baby beach gear required if you’re planning a family beach vacation. All those hubbies who want to get practical Christmas presents for your wife… look no further. I had a friend who got really mad at her husband one birthday. He got her an ironing board. How to be a confident parent in front of your whole family… even if your kids act wild. I’ll never forget the first time my oldest threw a complete fit in front of others. I was so shocked I didn’t respond for like 10 Mississippi’s. She didn’t want to come to the table because she […]
Here are 4 things to keep on your weekly routine and 4 to add to your nightly. I am, apparently, a creature of habit. If you ask me to tell you about my entire day, and then compare that to other days – I probably seem like a robot. Predictable. Maybe even, extremely self-disciplined. But […]

At the beginning of my parenting journey I unknowingly passed by hundreds of opportunities for me and my kids to develop resilience. In my book Bounceback Parenting I explain that I made the mistake of thinking that my job was to make everything easy or comfortable for my kids. I often offered help in the name of […]
